Hubert Barth (48) earned a degree in business administration at the University of Tübingen in 1992 and went on to work for PwC in Frankfurt, Berlin, New York and Munich. In 1998, he qualified as a German Public Auditor and German Tax Advisor. In 2003, he switched to Allianz Global Investors as Head of Financial Management. He joined EY as a partner in the Financial Services Organization in 2006. In his last position prior to his current roles, he was head of Bavarian practice.
Since 1 August 2015, Hubert Barth has been Managing Partner Regional Markets and has coordinated EY’s market activities across Germany on the basis of the objectives of the firm’s current corporate strategy‚ Global Vision 2020.
Effective as of 1 July 2016, Ernst & Young GmbH’s supervisory board appointed Hubert Barth as the Country Managing Partner of Ernst & Young GmbH.
In the past few years, Hubert Barth has audited companies in the industrial and finance sectors for EY and supported numerous company transactions. He has also been involved in regulatory and risk management projects. In addition to his work at EY, he lectures at the Munich Business School.
Hubert Barth is married and has three children. His hobbies include reading, skiing and triathlon.
